Chilling out at wheelchairity!

Wheelchairity

So Yes was present today at Wheelchairity, an inclusive music festival where (able-bodied) visitors are invited to reflect on the difficulties that people with a physical disability have to overcome on a daily basis. They do this by giving 'the wheelchair' a central place at the festival in a pleasant and active way. The event thus becomes a meeting place where able-bodied and disabled people enjoy well-known and less-known musical talent in a pleasant atmosphere together. This year even "De Mens" was present!

Wheelchairity thus raises awareness, but also facilitates access for people with disabilities by collaborating with other actors on an accessibility app and by providing businesses with ramps that literally and figuratively bridge the existing thresholds.
We're happy that we were asked to participate in this great initiative! Ultimately, our goal is the same: striving for participation of people with a physical disability!

At 33° it was very hot there, but fortunately the mojitos and ice creams provided sufficient cooling.

Congratulations to the organisers, a group of enthusiastic and idealistic friends who have set up this event, which started from a benefit for a friend of theirs, for the sixth time. We wish this great initiative every success!

See you later,
